Where is Tanzania’s Location?
Situated in East Africa just south of the equator, mainland Tanzania lies between the area of the great African lakes (Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika, and Lake Malawi) and the Indian Ocean. It is bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the North; Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to the West, and Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia to the South.
In the northeastern part of the country stand the world-famous Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. Also in the north are the vast Serengeti plains, home to the country’s most popular wildelife reserve, the Serengeti National Park.
